Merino Wool
From the Merino Sheep grown extensively in Australia and New Zealand. This natural fibre produces super soft wool with a finer-than-normal wool yarn (less than 20 microns). Merino has excellent tensile strength, thus hard wearing, while being lightweight and naturally stretchy. Merino also has excellent thermal properties and unlike conventional wool does not ’itch’. Merino has excellent wicking properties which means that it will draw moisture away from the foot more quickly than other fibres. Merino wool is an easy care yarn, it can be machine washed and tumble dried.
