Born in 1936 by Martin Magnusson, Hestra originally made work gloves for lumberjacks but has now become one of the world’s leading glove brands in skiing, outdoor recreation and leisure wear.
83 years later, the Swedish company is still family-owned, run by the third generation of Magnussons.
Since their inception, Hestra has developed several thousand models of gloves that have all been designed to a high spec in their studio in Hestra, Sweden. Currently under the direction of Design Director, Marianne Knutsson-Hall.
Made to last, Hestra gloves are used in a plethora of activities as they recognise that every day is different.
Regularly put to the test in extreme conditions and working closely with the people who place high demands on their equipment, Hestra have developed a class above the rest in terms of snow active wear and outdoor gloves.
Hestra is an environmentally friendly company and sustainability is one of their core values. Making high-quality gloves that are highly durable, Hestra gloves have a long product life and that in turn reduces the use of raw materials and lessens the impact on the environment.
They are one of the few environmentally certified manufacturing companies in the ski and outdoor world.
