Description
The Pinch belay device is an innovative model manufactured by Edelrid for safer sport climbing or long routes thanks to an assisted locking system. It is ideal for both beginners and more experienced climbers.
Innovative, it's the first belay device that connects directly to the central ring of the harness for a more comfortable, close-to-the-body belay position. This means you can manage your climbing partner's safety with just 4 fingers, as it holds the braking side of the rope at all times. It is also fitted with steel guide rails to prevent the rope from twisting during descent or abseiling.
Technologically advanced, it features a descent control lever for easy speed control, particularly with thin or softer ropes. The anti-panic function, which can be permanently deactivated with a screw, is an added safety feature. Finally, it's the only device on the market that can be connected to the relay in four directions in 90° steps, so you can handle it more freely.
